copper trading at US$4.55/ib in pre-open market in New York at the moment.
Bell Potter research states that as AIS is unhedged to copper price it is 25% impacted by movements in copper price on its own. So strong copper price movements will push the SP around big time.
Let's hope for a good trading night in the US to set us up well for tomorrow.
A guy who I really respect has just returned from a 6 week business trip to the states incuding attending the Bershire Hathaway shareholders annual gathering in Omaha. I am not in that league.
He said the US is booming and the economy looks very strong. Let's hope that turns into a lot of goods production and copper consumption.
Just need president Xi Jinping to fix real estate in China.
