Copper rose to US$4.56/Ib.
(today’s trading was strong with 88,441 copper contracts written) almost back to the recent elevated 65 day average of 95,510 copper contracts written. If you go back 4 or 5 months the 65 day average for copper contracts written was around 65,000 contracts. There is no doubt copper is very much to the fore for traders and genuine copper buyers alike.
Gold rose to US$2,357/oz
Zinc rose marginally again to close at US$2,872/tonne
