Some bullish prices being paid or mooted for producing Copper assets this week.
1.SFR's Acquisition of the MATSA Mining Complex in Spain (see Post #: 56286668)
Acquisition Price: US$1,865MCuEq reserves: 1,113kt
Price per CuEq reserve tonne: ~ US$1,676
2. Glencore reportedly mulling offers for CSA copper mine in NSW (per various MSM #)
Reported Expected Price: US$725M +
CuEq reserves: ~ 305kt
Price per CuEq reserve tonne: ~ US$2,377

These metrics suggest there is plenty of upside in some of the undeveloped junior resource stocks with copper reserves.
IMO these stocks can be viewed as long dated call options where a change in commodity prices or investor psychology could result in them becoming deep in the money at some unknown future time.
When laggards like Australia’s PM and Treasurer shift their stance on climate change, as they have this week, this suggests that time could be closer than the market is currently pricing for these stocks.
