Seems the financiers totally disagree with that busted logic. Oh look, CYM bought Nifty when copper was AUD$11,545/t(sub US$4/Lb) but initiated the transaction at AUD$10,500/t(US$3.67/Lb)
Gary Nagle likely talking up his book and Glencore's position to try and influence financiers to look into his company and bump their share price. But anyhow Gary makes some very pertinent points that supply will be insufficient well before 2030.
