    A couple of interesting statistics from IEA
    I did find it difficult to obtain the same analyst information to complete the 2020 & 2021 figures. There appears to be a lot of different analysts calculations out in cyberspace giving many different numbers so I will use the IEA figure from another chart stating 73.2m global sales for 2020. I guess that is far lower than 2019 figures due to lockdowns and restricted business from covid policies, 2017 peak was 91.2m car sales

    Notice GFC recession the car sales were a slight dip with less than 10m reduction in sales, recovering strongly in 2010
    As you point out@Johnyb888 the global electrification including electric car adoption is gaining traction fast, altering perceptions and copper usage from historical data.
