Excellent news with Tesla requiring enough batteries for another 800,000 cars in 2022. Will take their output to 1.6 to 1.7m cars for 2022

Roughly double this years output. Here I plugged in the same numbers from Q3 into Q4 to obtain an approximate number for this years deliveries and doubled that for 2022. Although I am anticipating the Q4 delivery numbers will again be improved so technically the numbers are conservative.

So increasing this years consumption of copper by 100% to over 103,000 tonnes of copper consumed by Tesla cars alone.

I was reading that the Tesla Semi production will be delayed till next year so will be interesting to see how much copper will be necessary with that large battery pack.
