Elon Musk Says Tesla Needs 10,000 Employees In Texas Through 2022
https://electrek.co/2021/03/31/tesla-10000-people-gigafactory-texas-student-worker-effort/
Tesla employed over 70,000 people as of the end of last year, and with several large projects under way, the automaker could employ over 100,000 people by the end of next year.
GigaBerlin, GigaTexas, GigaFremont all require 10,000 plus workers. GigaBerlin at full production around 12,000

Let us put that into perspective. Here are some Towns/Cities from Vic, NSW & Qld
So that is basically an entire town employed at just one of these Gigafactories. The story everyone follows is the number of cars built. But you need to create an entire city size workforce for each Gigafactory. GigaBerlin at Brandenburg they are constructing shopping centres and a vast number of other projects to facilitate the workers.
Not to mention supply chain.

Not to mention EV charging station roll out
As of March 2020, Tesla operates 16,103 Superchargers in 1,826 stations worldwide; these include 908 stations in the U.S., 98 in Canada, 16 in Mexico, 520 in Europe, and 398 in the Asia/Pacific region.
As of February 18, 2021, Tesla operates over 23,277 Superchargers in over 2,564 stations worldwide (an average of 9 chargers per station). There are 1,101 stations in North America, 592 in Europe, and 498 in the Asia/Pacific region.
The required copper, aluminium, steel and other base metals is enormous. And all these workers require electronic devises like laptops, computers, tv's, mobile phones, white goods etc...
Check out the electrical sub station to supply energy to the Gigafactory.
Now all this is just Tesla. What will VW and other car manufacturers do?
