When a resource is calculated...mmm...well there is a detailed analysis of the current and past data required for this to happen, it doesn`t happen quickly.
But there is a reason to to be somewhat optimistic, copper miners/producers are cutting back production around the world at an astonishing rate..they have simply stopped exploring, closed mines (many due to the much lower yield per tonne of copper available at there current mines...many below 1%), if you look at the forecast for 2017 and onwards in regard to copper resources...they (the resources available)will simply not keep up with demand according to some estimates.
Remember the world will always need copper, it is irreplaceable for an Industrialized world.
