having been invested in many mining companies for probably half of my life, in my personal experience, whatever your expected timeframe is, multiply it by at least 3 or 4.

what i have learned is that mining companies (and local councils, incidentally) seem to operate on a frequency that is barely perceptible, and hence that they experience Einsteinian relativistic time shift. From their perspective, they are traveling at near close to the speed of light, and everything is orderly and on schedule. But from the vantage point of us mere mortals, months seem to pass between each motion of the shovel.

This is a bit like the doppler effect, or redshift witnessed in distant objects. Nobody really knows who is right, as it is all just a matter of perception.

My only comment would be that if you want to stay sane invested in mining companies, you need to to learn how to embrace the snail within.
