US copper futures (Sept'21) currently at US$4.524/lb.
Is copper the new oil as postulated by Goldman Sachs (see its 13 April 2021 report via the link below)?

Or is copper just the pipeline for delivery of this new clean technology energy transition?
Fundamentally the ‘clean energy’ transition does not happen without copper. The big issue for the industry is supply over the medium and longer-term.
