I think we're not only going to enjoy just today but the next two years - at least.

I've spent the last two days at the Dexing copper mine - China's largest copper producer. Currently producing 100ktpa with no plans for expansion. In fact the mine is being told to make their current shovel fleet 'last'. All investment is going into upgrading the process plant so they can convert more of their cons to cathode copper. Management strategy is still based on long term employment generation rather than matching economic needs to NPV.

If there's going to be a supply side response it won't come from here in the near future.

Wonder how quick we can get Kins up and running?
