Well what is the problem with that? And why shouldn't the company add to its income stream? It is after all injecting tens of millions into the locals' pockets and that in an environmentally friendly way - as you point out.

Ah, I think I've got it! The tiny minority may well be confusing milling with smelting and confusing sulphur dioxide - which can be trapped easily and safely - with the hydrogen sulphide coming off the effluent lakes above the mine - and which was produced from their orifices.
