Approximately 30% of that was shorts so (assuming 100% of short volume was short covering) around 3.6million shorts were covered. I would say its safe to say there are at least 36 million short shares outstanding as of right now. ( I took 0.06 x 735 - 3.6 - 4.5m for short coverings from the 14th to the 19th). The could be a upto 40 million still short as of this moment. Short burn certainly hasnt happened yet.
