I didn't say that I have no opinion on the GBR discussion --------- I said that I have no opinion on the GBR
it's health, it's death or otherwise -
in the scale of things to do with cc -------- I think it's merely at best - a sign. Nothing more, nothing less.
Take the difference between say - the death or the GBR --------- and the melting of ice sheets
what's the difference? ----------- the difference is that one is CRITICAL to the triggering of a planetary response ------------- and, one is not.
If the GBR is dead ------------ it's dead. And whilst that will effect many organisms in the environment -
if the ice sheets melt in a hurry - it will effect a RAPID stalling of the AMOC -
and that's a whole different ball game - a big big big change ---------- believe me - if that happens - no one will give a flying bonk about the GBR
it won't even rate a mention ----------- what will rate a mention? ==== the wars and skirmishes in Australia from a FLOOD of migrant cc refugees - which will be unstoppable.
