Don’t be surprised if a TO comes from a Chinese company other than Hanking. The Chinese do not compete with each other when purchasing foreign companies and quite often a deal is hatched in Beijing for a non affiliated 3rd party to swoop in for the prize. This allows the existing Chinese board members of the foreign entity to support the deal without seeming to be conflicted. Over at Nzuri Copper (ASX:NZC) Chengtun Mining Group, which holds no stock in NZC, has just made a TO offer. This is despite Huayou Cobalt owning 14% of NZC stock, not offering a counter offer and now recommending the TO from Chengtun Mining Group.
