Just my personal opinion, but if it is true that Channel 7 has paid Corby $2M for "her story", I am disgusted that Australian media has sunk so low. It is pathetic. Even Kochy is remonstrating about it, as he still takes his fat pay cheque.
I am reading in Brisbane Courier Mail this morning, that Channel 7 intends charging advertisers $100,000 for a 30 second slot.
If I was involved in a business, there is no way I would want my brand associated in any way with this woman or her family. Recipe for disaster and will come back and bite you. three years may be too long for Corby to keep her nose clean in Bali.
I have seen other posters here still claiming her innocence, and even blaming what they refer to as a second rate justice system. That is immaterial, in my opinion. If you don't like the justice system, don't smuggle drugs over there. Simple as that.
I, for one, won't be watching, and I will probably boycott any company that I hear has sponsored this debacle.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
