Corby's half brother faces drug charges

The half brother of convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby has faced a Queensland court on drug, and break and enter charges.

James Kisina, 18, of Loganlea south of Brisbane, and two other men were arrested and charged on Wednesday over a home invasion at Rochedale on Tuesday.

Kisina, who is a half brother to Corby, has now faced the Beenleigh Magistrates Court south of Brisbane on eight charges.

They include two counts each of deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count each of producing a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of items used in the commission of a crime and entering a dwelling.

Kisina was remanded in custody to face the same court again in early March.

The other two men - a 19-year-old from Loganlea and a 20-year-old from the western Brisbane suburb of The Gap - were charged with similar offences.

Schapelle Corby is serving a 15-year jail term for smuggling 4.1kg of marijuana into Bali on October 8, 2004.

Kisina, one of two children Corby's mother Rosleigh Rose had with Tongan-born James Kisina, was with Corby when she was arrested in Bali.
