    I suppose it's hard for u to get a grasp of it.

    I met the king of Tonga once. I didn't realise Tonga had a king. He had nothing to do with me, not Australia but I certainly showed respect for the protocol of meeting someone who holds such a title in a country. The main bit of protocol was to walk up shake his hand and then walk backwards without turning my back on him.

    I didn't know the bloke from a bar of soap, not did I care that they had a monarchy. But in a sign of respect to that country, their customs and beliefs, I didn't hesitate to show that respect.

    It's no different to the king in Thailand who is beloved. Before every movie is played they show video of the king. I stand with the rest of the Thais out of respect to their culture.

    Again, grasping that may be beyond u.

    Even though I am not a fan of the Muslim religion, I would certainly show the necessary respect to monarchy in the ME. Ok, maybe I get beheaded if not but that's another story.
