If Shorten promises an ICAC with teeth then he deserves the job. If that ICAC catches a bunch of Laborites and union types as well, I'd say so much the better.
But, this may be the rare opportunity for a genuine anti-corruption watchdog. A once in a generation chance, like the vote for a Republic, that really shouldn't be missed.
