Piece of corned beef..
browned on the four sides in a pan.
In the slow cooker with a layer of minced garlic about 2mm thickness across the top.
One half cup of water. Some gravy powder, an onion and half a dozen mushrooms chopped in quarters.
The moisture in the beef and mushrooms will make enough sauce to suit.
The garlic helps to overcome the salty residue of the beef.
Slow cook for 8-10 hours on low. Baste a couple of times during cooking with the liquid.
