those reading from the sidelines, should give it a go . cheap corned silverside (and used as a cold meat) from aldi, works out to be a lot cheaper than buying packets of manufactured ham (or whatever).
watso noticed that coles probably have a special on corned silverside at $7.50kg - mmmm , who knows, but as the "used by date arrives", they might clear them out at 50% rtc ... lol being salted, they will probably be good for another 20 years
