It did see that way mechanic but the UK has a long history with the motor industry and the forthcoming Nissan investment and battery manufacturing already started, I would hope the govt machine kicks in and makes sound investments. The panel interviewing would be a filter to the industry decision makers.
Processing is Chinas main role and everything else has fallen into their supply chain (but held ransom by spot price), one would hope processing of Cornish lithium mica becomes a key govt agenda item. Or for processing they rely on China.... or Europe (look at EMH snail pace to DFS) or the US. All these options will cost battery manufacturers in UK more and require final shipping to UK. Not very ESG. Seems a no brainer to chuck some incentives out there for no waste processing....
btw UK govt the company that can deliver this has already been to your offices. Does this need to be shouted any louder!
