If you are comparing countries I think you need to take in to account what actions they have taken to stop the virus. Have a look at where Singapore and the UK now sit on the world table a week on from this video. UK have also just announced they will only test the most serious cases so their figures will now be distorted from here on.
I believe that Australia was sleepwalking in to this epidemic until the F1 Grand Prix was cancelled. No doubt, down the track our governments both state and federal will beat their chests over how quickly and strongly they reacted to the crisis. But the truth is the cancellation of the Grand Prix has forced their hands. If that had not happened then like Italy, we would have continued on our merry way until people started dropping like flies.
It's still going to be ugly but maybe, just maybe the McLaren F1 team withdrawing from the GP has spared Australia from a total disaster.
