In 2018/2019 there were 34000 deaths from 35 million cases of influenza. No lockdown or panic or stock market crash.

As of Mar 19
NZ has no covid deaths, ..
The USA has 118 covid deaths out of 7800 cases.
Globally there are 8782 deaths from 214000 cases.

Yet borders are closed and countries in lockdown...
Do the numbers necessitate such draconisan measures.
