The problems caused so far by the historic rain levels in Brazil and of course any further natural disasters / damage from same may inflate the price of Iron Ore in the interim, which in turn may provide some buoyancy to the FMG share price if the coronavirus worsens ? As @rcman commented the other day, the market is looking for an excuse to have a 5% correction and this will probably be it - just sayin'

Nobody really knows at this stage IMO though what affect the coronavirus will have ? ... but when you read this paragraph from this article, it sounds like certain groups of people are more vulnerable than others just like influenza is here in Australia ?
https://www.theguardian.com/science...rus-could-infect-100000-globally-experts-warn
So far there are around 40 cases outside China, including three each in the United States and France. All 56 deaths have occurred in China, mostly in people who were older and had underlying health problems that made it hard to fight off the virus.
Australian influenza statistics in 2017 (I believe last year was worse) and again it affected a particular demographic more than others :
https://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs...~2017~Main Features~Deaths due to influenza~5
DEATHS DUE TO INFLUENZA, 2017
In 2017 there were 1,255 deaths due to influenza, recording a standardised death rate of 3.9 per 100,000 persons. This is a significant increase from 2016 where 464 influenza deaths were recorded. An individual dying from influenza in 2017 was most likely to be female, aged over 75 years, have multiple co-morbidities and living in the eastern states of Australia.
