As you state, it will evolve over time. I do think only emphasising those who have died vs recovered is misleading when thinking about overall possible outcome. I'm not saying you've fudged the numbers. I just think that if one also considers the unknown outcome of unrecovered cases, and the likelihood that there are many asymptomatic or mild cases that go undiagnosed, that the overall mortality rate will likely be much lower than 6.1%.
