I've read a report of a Southern Baptist preacher in the US boasting his congregation would lick the floor of his church as folk would be guaranteed immunity from covid-19 because of god. so what's the common factor here? evidence-free, fact-free, faith-based self delusion by religious types anywhere in the world. easter around april 11-13 will be a huge test for xtians, which many will fail, particularly in the US unless authorities impose severe restrictions, such as with martial law. imagine, with President Trump saying now the pandemic might be easing by easter, but of course it won't be, the last thing the self deluded xtians would need would be a festival about some codger who (so their fairy tale goes) rose from the dead after three days. those who believe this religious garbage could run into serious health problems as a result of congregations cross infecting.

isn't it interesting how shallow christianity is in the US. the belief in miracles seems to be increasing in line with the extreme zealotry of the rhetoric. No wonder they have a president who is such a joke... well it would be funny if it weren't so deadly serious.
