Nogo, I'm a firm believer that the market is always right, well nearly always. Value is never as easy as adding up the sum of it's parts. There is always sentiment, perceptions, fear, greed and a hundred other obtuse factors to be taken into account. None of which can be quantified nor made sense of, but never the less come into play when determining the value of a stock
Arsenic, I don't think that MLX will be taken over. I just get the feeling that there is something at play here. Weather it is Insto's adjusting for index inclusion. Some sort of tidy up by the Hong Kong/China connection or what, I can't say. The silly little trades that go through, just add to the intrigue. This has of course been going on for ages.
In any case I just don't see the company being attractive to a suiter in it's current form. Too diverse, with no one outstanding assett. All good assets, run very well, I agree. Soon gold will be king with this company and as far as I can tell the Chinese are not interested in this asset. Only, really base metals and coal. The Chinese have become very gun shy in recent times as far as owning mines in Australia. Usually they leave a train wreck behind. Their focus has moved to the 3rd world. Wingellina as far as I can tell is years away, perhaps decades away from being realized.
I of course, like previously stated could be barking up the wrong tree? Time will tell I guess.
