I hope later media coverage on this adds some reality and historical context to this situation.
Anyone doing business in Myanmar has been dealing with the Military and previous power brokers to some degree. 50 years of Military rule ensures that.
MYL started to work with the 'elected Govt' in good faith, the other option is to not invest at all and the country and its people would pay a huge price for that.
You cant just undo the history of a place overnight. There was always going to be some unwanted connections in early investments. The hope would be that they fade as a true Govt takes hold and forges its own path.
Its naïve and unrealistic to assume otherwise.
