Shares in Macarthur Coal have been placed in a trading halt pending the announcement of a significant transaction.
"The reason for the trading halt is that Macarthur expects to make a significant announcement in relation to a material corporate transaction," the company said in a statement today.
The trading halt will last until the announcement is made or until the start of trading on Thursday.
