Kallen has a tendency to shout down and belittle opinions that differ from his own. That's hardly uncommon on HC though.
I was pretty angry with that stuff he was doing in the days leading up to coup. But I honestly think he has given up those profits (and maybe more) in this current debacle. He sounded like he was in a dark place with his last couple of posts (talking about his loss of economic security as he enters retirement, etc.). The man has been humbled.
