Can't we make an educated guess at the output?
The projected output was 240kW per buoy and their measurements were within 6.7% (as stated by MO in Sydney) of projections so 93.3% of 240kW = 223.92kW x 3 buoys = 671.76kW - when they were all in the water together.
To gain the governments grants etc etc.... Carnegie needed to prove it worked according to their project objectives which were:
Project Objectives
- Demonstration of a larger capacity CETO unit than any CETO unit developed to date.
- Long term operation and survivability spanning four seasons.
- The production of utility-compliant electricity by generating and exporting power to the grid for a sustained period.
- The production of main water-compliant desalinated freshwater for a sustained period.
- Verification of the accuracy of Carnegie’s computational CETO system modelling against the measured Project performance.
- Confirmation of the feasibility of the deployment, operation and recovery of the Project’s major elements including pipeline, CETO units and foundations.
- Recording of the environmental interactions of the Project in order to demonstrate and verify that it has minimal impact.
- Demonstration of Carnegie’s ability to plan, resource and execute a commercial scale CETO project.
