    Sorry street talk but I think you may be incorrect.
    The word "can" equates to "are they able" rather than "would".
    For example:-
    "Can you touch your toes?" is a question concerning ability. The correct question is, in my view, "Would people on this site use correct spelling?" Or "Would people on this site spell correctly?"
    Of course, I never majored in English so I could be wrong.
