Fullfilled doesn't necessarily mean abolished. If you say say that you are not here to abolish the law, but fulfill it, doesn't mean that by fullfilling it you abolish the law because that would be a contradiction.

If you say I am not here to abolish the law, that is precisely what the statement means....unless it's said by a Politician or a God who specializes in sowing confusion.
