Interesting but really irrelevant. Institutions ranging from financial to government departments have been hacked, does this mean we lose confidence in them?
Ideal risk management is to identify threats and implement risk management processes to deal with the threat before it occurs. Nothing is ever ideal, so in the real world you manage and mitigate a threat as soon as practical after it has been identified.
