profit taking occouring on gold Gold shares at the ASX junior and explorer end of the market remain very depressed. Overnight the gold price has been up and then been the subject of some profit taking - the move other way of the US and the oil price up might explain dollar movements around asset classes - it remains above $520 US so a correction isnt a big factor atm - perhaps a central bank entered the market to try and sell some of their gold reserves or a major hedge fund unwindining a tempory long or short position
