I don't think the financials have ever not been dishonest. Take ANZ for example, all brokers tipped ANZ as the best AUS bank with a great out look, share price in the 30's. Now look, oops, where did that come from etc..
Gold will bounce again, just wait for the reporting season to unwind in the US, time to look for a safe haven again!
