    re: they will give 5k and nothing to 1 share holde YESTERDAY WAS THE LAST DAY IN TERMS OS SETTLING FUNDS BY fRIDAY.

    However, u can still buy today and tomorrow though u will need to ring your broker and ask for an 'early release settlement', stating u need settlement by FRIDAY (ie. the record date)

    Note: Brokers may charge an 'eary release settlemt fee' for such a service.
