Yes, CBA will probably be up Monday morning because the U.S. markets were up.
Otherwise, why would you want to buy CBA now that it is ex-div & the next dividend is 6 months away?
The only possible reason is that you expect interest rates to fall & that may already have been priced into the share price.
Why buy a share for dividend returns when you can do better with cash deposits at call where there is no risk of a capital loss?
There is a potential price reversal from the top of about $16.00 & if things deteriorate, even more.
