Im not defending AWB's actions in anyway. But it should be noted that In most parts of the world outside of Australia and a few other well to do countries, bribery and kick backs are an expected part of doing business.
So much so infact that up until a few short years ago, you could even claim such kickbacks as a tax deduction with Australian tax office!
