Patent is purely a recognition of intellectual property and rights, and in terms of price-sensitivity has no weight. Approval for distribution in a certain jurisdiction however, is very price-sensitive.
And even then, FDA approval is all that really matters for Cortical.
FDA approval is the chief authority globally, especially given the extensive Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) the FDA has with overseas regulatory bodies.
So I wouldn't even think about Cortical unless some news from the FDA appears.
