The Greens' decision to resign is no more an inference of guilt than Canavan's refusal to accept this article of law is any proof of innocence.
All claim to have had citizenship bestowed on them unwittingly so, assuming this is true and that none of them were brazen enough to run for office knowing they were technically ineligible, the difference in their responses is telling. The Greens resigned because they accepted they were in the wrong and will try to resolve it by next election, while the Lib is going to try to talk his way out of it by any means necessary. Regardless of whether he knew before, he knows now and he hasn't resigned yet.
As for Socrates, I mean Malcolm Roberts, I'm sure he'll draw it out as long as possible to keep some media attention on him.
