I was at the newsagent buying a music magazine earlier today and I was flicking through the latest Cosmos magazine ("The Science of Everything"). It contains an essay called "Merchants of Doubt" which is all about the industry that has developed around muddying the water with regard to the science behind climate change. As selling the doubt behind tobacco smoking was morally reprehensible, so is this. I firmly believe in the spiritual concept of karma and what goes around comes around. Engaging in global deception on a massive scale is not very good for one's karma.
"MERCHANTS OF DOUBT As the science backing human-induced climate change has firmed, public support has softened and political consensus dissolved. How did this happen? Naomi Oreskes identifies the characters, the tactics and techniques that have undermined the science"

I subscribe to Cosmos for my father. Once he has read an issue it will usually end up at my place. I look forward to having a good read and reporting on it.
