Well no. Anyone with their ear to the ground in the listed copmpany patch has heard this. I have now heard this from 3 completely different sources that this asset is being shopped around/known to be for sale etc.

It's all a matter of price. Look at the sale of the Shell assets. They only had bidder for this and they got it for a song. The winning bidding took the whole lot, the JVd it with the Govt Super Fund. Was a great deal, and showed the dearth of buyers for NZ energy assets. NZOG could be the only natural bidder for this asset.

NZOG should take all that is offered and then bring in other parties to JV it with them. They are in a prime position to do the deal of the year.
