cost benefit analysis.

Has anyone done a cost benefit analysis with the Blue-gen. I would like nothing better than to be able to generate my own power and hot water, becoming self sufficient, and also be able to extensively lower my carbon footprint. I have been following this debate for some time and am enthusiastic about the technology. I know the units are expensive at the moment and will come down in price in time but what is the estimated end cost of energy production? It is no good (except for carbon saved) to generate energy, if the end result is more cost because of the input cost of the gas used, and the replacement cost of the ceramic fuel cells.I am aware that the unit generates more power than the average house uses and that there is the potential to on sell any excess. I would really appreciate some informed comment. E1
