Sorry Blase - I probably didn't say it as clearly as I should. The by-product of the dry-kiln process is construction aggregate not ghypsum. When I say aggregate I mean along the lines of gravel - could be used to make concrete yes but not cement powder. Could also be used to make roads. I reckon there's a good chance it will become an 'aggregate mountain' in the desert alongside the plant until the NT government needs to replace their highways with 4-lane motorways. Sadly probably not much call for a monster concrete batching plant in that part of the NT either. Seems to me we will have a no-value by-product. But trucking high value phosphoric acid rather than low value rock phosphate to Darwin or elsewhere is still a very very good thing though imo.
