But nzoiler who says that NZOG is going to blow a massive stack of its cash on Canterbury Basin ?

They are certainly interested in the Barque prospect. And that is about it at the moment.... full stop.

NZOG has clearly stated that it has taken a position. It will await further seismic testing and interpretation of those results before it commits to joining a drilling operation on Barque.

If it and AWE are not convinced after the seismic results then they will walk away. They have no intention of drilling willy nilly at anything that looks as though it might possibly contain something.

Let's see what comes up next year.
