They have not committed to any drillings. They have effectively paid a small amount of money for a watching brief.
Also there is massive geographical and logistical differences between Canterbury Basin and Great South Basin. I can't say I am keen on either, but they should not be lumped in together either.
I think the focus should be on potential upcoming drilling next to Tui in 2009 if they manage to get a rig. Way more bang for their bucks.
