I asked Mark a similar question and asked if this new deal, given a lump sum of $US15M, removed any NPV considerations.

I did ask if the deal was with the same party as the first deal and, if not, was it possible to take CVI Matanda stake to 60% from the new 40%.

His reply was : "The previous deal has been scrapped and replaced with this new one."

So this suggests same party and no NPV consideration.

I don't believe they want more of Matanda. It's not the real prize. ( Petro Energy Africa Limited is probably a prize ) They want Niger Delta, perhaps even more than Angola oil.
