I don't see how that's impolite... I seriously caution you to stay away from options if you don't understand how they operate. Professionals with 10+ years experience only consider doing it, and can still lose money. I know people who bought the hype and are still paying debt from options that failed last GFC. You have to be very cautious with a speculative stock - last week someone said they were buying a large parcel of SVLOB when it was at +12% and then dropped to -10% shortly after. It's your money, and I see cautioning you to possibilities is more polite than encouraging you to gamble.
